Organizing Computers into Groups
When you schedule an install to be performed in your enterprise, you will need to specify target computer or list of computers where you want this software to be installed (or removed). To simplify usage of computer lists, you can define Computer Groups and reuse them. Computer Groups are just lists of computer names. You can nest one Group into another, creating hierarchy. Each computer can belong to as many groups as you want, or not to belong to any group. It's up to you how do you want to group computers. Just few options to consider:
- to follow organizational structure
- by OS type
- by Job Function
- by domain name
When you select a Computer, it will show you what Groups it belongs to. Hardware and Software Inventory information is shown as well.
